In September, after the summer season ends, road restrictions and driving bans for trucks in Europe will change – some of them will be lifted. In this article, we provide a list of dates in September when traffic restrictions for trucks will apply in Europe.
On all working days (September 1–5, 8–12, 15–19, 22–26, 29–30)
Driving bans will apply in Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. They will be in effect from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
On September 5, additional restrictions will apply in Greece from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On September 15, additional restrictions will apply in Slovakia from midnight to 10 p.m.
On Saturdays (September 6, 13, 20, and 27)
Driving bans will apply in the following countries:
In Austria, from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 7 a.m. to midnight.
In Luxembourg, from 9:30 p.m. to midnight for traffic heading towards France, and from 11:30 p.m. to midnight for traffic heading towards Germany.
In Liechtenstein and Switzerland, from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
In France and Hungary, from 10 p.m. to midnight.
On September 6, additional restrictions will apply in Greece from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and in Slovenia from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On September 6 and 13, additional restrictions will apply in Croatia from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Sundays (September 7, 14, 21, and 28)
Driving bans will apply in the following countries:
In Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland throughout the whole day.
In France, Slovakia, Hungary, and Germany, from midnight to 10 p.m.
In the Czech Republic, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In Italy, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Croatia, from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
In Slovenia, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Luxembourg, from midnight to 9:45 p.m.
On September 7, additional restrictions will apply in Greece from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
