With the official start of the summer season in Europe, usual traffic restrictions for trucks will change. Some countries will introduce new regular restrictions, while others will impose additional weekend bans. This article presents a list of dates in June when traffic restrictions for trucks will apply across Europe.
On all working days (June 2–6, 9–13, 16–20, 23–27, and 30)
Road bans will apply in Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. These will be in effect from midnight to 5:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to midnight. On all Fridays, additional restrictions will apply in Greece from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
June 2: Additional restrictions in Italy from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
June 9: Additional restrictions in France, Germany, and Hungary from midnight to 10:00 PM; and in Romania from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
June 18: Additional restrictions in Croatia from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM; Poland from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM; and Luxembourg from 11:30 PM to midnight.
June 19: Additional restrictions in Croatia from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM; Poland from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM; and Luxembourg from midnight to 9:45 PM.
June 25: Additional restrictions in Slovenia from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
June 27: Additional restrictions in Poland from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
On Saturdays (June 7, 14, 21, and 28)
Road bans will apply in the following countries:
In Austria from midnight to 5:00 AM and from 7:00 AM to midnight.
In Luxembourg from 9:30 PM to midnight (towards France) and from 11:30 PM to midnight (towards Germany).
In Liechtenstein and Switzerland from midnight to 5:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to midnight.
In France and Hungary from 10:00 PM to midnight.
Additional restrictions will apply on these days:
June 7: Greece from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Poland from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Romania from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
June 14: Greece from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
June 21: Greece from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Croatia from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
June 28: Greece from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Croatia from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM; Poland from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
On Sundays (June 1, 8, 15, and 29)
Road bans will apply in the following countries:
Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland: all day.
France, Slovakia, Hungary, and Germany: from midnight to 10:00 PM.
Czech Republic: from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Italy: from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Slovenia: from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Luxembourg: from midnight to 9:45 PM.
Romania: from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Additional restrictions will apply on these days:
June 8: Poland from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
June 15 & 22: Greece from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Croatia from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
June 29: Greece from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Croatia from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM; Poland from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
