Due to reconstruction work, traffic on the Lueg Bridge on the Brenner Highway will be restricted in 2025. On certain days, trucks will be prohibited from using this bridge. Additionally, due to maintenance work, new traffic restrictions will be applied in February and March at the Mont Blanc Tunnel. This article provides all the necessary information about these changes.

Lueg Bridge

In Tyrol, on the Brenner Highway, the reconstruction work on the Lueg Bridge will begin at the end of March. Starting from January 1, vehicles will only be allowed to use one lane. From April, there will also be days on which truck traffic will be prohibited.

When traveling southward (toward Italy), truck traffic restrictions will apply on the following days:

• April 12, 17-19, 25

• May 28

• June 2, 7, 14, 18, 21, 28

• July 5, 12, 19, 26

• August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

• September 6, 13, 20, 27

• October 2

When traveling northward (toward Germany), truck traffic restrictions will apply on the following days:

• April 18

• July 5, 12, 19, 26

• August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

• October 3

Mont Blanc Tunnel

In February and March, due to maintenance and inspection work, the Mont Blanc Tunnel will be completely closed on certain days. The tunnel will be closed from 10 PM until 6 AM the next day. The closures will occur on the following days:

• February 11-12, 12-13, 13-14, 17-18, 18-19, 19-20, 20-21, and 24-25

• March 10-11, 11-12, 12-13, 13-14, 17-18, 18-19, 19-20, and 20-21

On certain days, from 10:30 PM until 6 AM the next day, alternating traffic will be applied in the tunnel:

• February 26-27 and 27-28

• March 24-25, 25-26, 26-27, 27-28, and 31 -April 1
