Important reconstruction work is underway on the Lueg Bridge in the Tyrol region of Austria. As a result, drivers are facing additional traffic restrictions, which will continue until October 16. During the day, drivers using the Lueg Bridge can only use one lane in each direction. Additional restrictions apply to vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons.
From October 6 to 17, during the dark hours (from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.), heavy goods vehicles are prohibited from using the A12 Inntal and A13 Brenner motorways if their destination requires them to use the Lueg Bridge.
From October 6 to 17, during the dark hours (from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.), vehicles travelling to Innsbruck are prohibited from using the A13 Brenner motorway. The same ban applies to drivers travelling in either direction on the Matrei-Steinach – Brenner Nord section of this motorway.
To ensure that drivers comply with these restrictions, special checkpoints are in operation in Oberland and Kufstein.
