New restrictions introduced on the A10 motorway in Salzburg

In order to avoid traffic congestion on local roads and to ease transportation for local residents, new traffic restrictions will be introduced on the A10 motorway in Salzburg, Austria. Until June 26, drivers will be prohibited from using certain exits from the A10 motorway. These restrictions will apply in the St. Johann im Pongau and Hallein districts.

Drivers travelling on the A10 motorway will not be allowed to exit onto nearby roads at the following locations (unless their final travel destination is within the Salzburg region):

  • Exit 11 from Puch-Urstein toward Villach to the Urstein Süd regional road.

  • Exit 16 from Hallein to the L107 Wiestal Landesstraße road.

  • Exit 22 from Kuchl to the B159 Salzachtal Straße road.

  • Exit 28 from Golling-Abtenau to the B159 Salzachtal Straße road.

The municipality of St. Johann im Pongau has also implemented additional restrictions at the following exits:

  • Exit 44 from Pfarrwerfen-Werfen to the L229 Affenwenger Landesstraße road

  • Exit 60 from Eben im Pongau to the B99 Katschberg Straße road
