On 7 December this year, the new A24/Blankenburg motorway will open in Rotterdam. It will connect the A15 motorway in Rosenburg and the A20 motorway in Vlaardingen. The new motorway will allow drivers to avoid long detours and improve connectivity within the area.
The new road will be tolled - drivers will be able to sign up for automatic payments or pay for each trip manually online. This will allow to avoid additional traffic at toll booths. Drivers will be charged for each journey as follows:
Motorbikes, cars, vans weighing up to 3.5t and electric vans weighing up to 4.25t - €1.51 fee per trip.
Trucks and other vehicles weighing more than 3.5t - €9.13 fee per trip.
