In November, additional road bans will be introduced in Europe for All Saints' Day and other public holidays. There will be more restrictions on weekends and on some working days drivers will also witness an increase in road bans. This article lists the dates on which traffic restrictions for trucks will apply in Europe.
Friday, 1 November
Due to the All Saints' Day, in addition to the normal traffic restrictions, additional road closures will apply in the following countries:
In Austria and Liechtenstein throughout the entire day.
In Italy from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Croatia from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
In Poland and Slovenia from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Luxembourg from midnight to 9.45 p.m.
In France, Slovakia and Hungary from midnight to 10 p.m.
In Switzerland from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
In Germany, from midnight to 10 p.m., but only in the districts of Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
On all weekdays (4-8 November, 11-15 November, 18-22 November and 25-29 November)
Road bans will apply in Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. They will be in force from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
On Monday, 11 November, additional restrictions will apply in the following countries:
In France from midnight to 10 p.m.
In Luxembourg, from midnight to 9.45 p.m. for those travelling towards France.
In Poland from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On 15 November (Friday), additional restrictions will apply in Croatia from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On 18 November (Monday), additional road bans will be in place in Croatia from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On 29 November (Friday), additional road bans will be in place in Romania from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturdays (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November)
Road restrictions will apply in the following countries:
In Austria from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to midnight on certain roads.
In Luxembourg from 9.30 p.m. to midnight for journeys towards France and from 11.30 p.m. to midnight for journeys towards Germany.
In Liechtenstein and Switzerland from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
In France and Hungary from 10 p.m. to midnight.
On 30 November, additional road bans will apply in Romania from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On Sundays (3, 10, 17 and 24 November)
Road bans will apply in the following countries:
In Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland throughout the entire day.
In France, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany from midnight to 10 p.m.
In the Czech Republic from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In Italy from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Slovenia from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Luxembourg from midnight to 9.45 p.m.
On 3 and 17 November, additional restrictions will apply in Croatia from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On 10 November, additional restrictions will apply in Poland from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
